Not many talk about jealousy because it shows us that we are reliant on other's strengths; we can either encourage them in their strengths or secretly wish for the other's discontent.

I believe that we both chose to set aside our envy like unattended milk on the kitchen counter.

Their jealousy was set aside, not dealt with or put to death; it was shoved of and constantly returning. Jealousy is an uninvited guest who knocks once and when invited in becomes a member of the household.
